This was the second book in the series of books we read to each other while breastfeeding. We had both read it a long time ago and it was a fun read to share on tired evenings. Every chapter acts almost as a standalone adventure, making it easy to put down and pick up sporadically. Reading “grown-up” books outloud to Pemi allows him to hear the rhythms of read language and exposes him to a wide vocabulary - this will improve his vocabulary and literacy skills going forward.
